As we all try to deal with this ever changing, unprecedented time, the Artists Collective’s administrative offices are open by telephone appointment only.
In response to State Covid-19 guidelines, with the invaluable assistance and recommendations from Reopening CT Arts Venues: Science-Based Safety presented by Shoreline Arts Alliance with Yale School of Public Health, the Artists Collective will be:
- Requiring mandatory masks upon entering the building
- Temperature checks
- Requiring students to wash their hands upon entering the building and before leaving after classes
- Social distancing (6 Ft. or more)
- Addressing air flow and ventilation
- Hand sanitizer
- Frequent cleaning of the facility, including high touch areas and instruments.
We are working on acquiring other needed PPE supplies with the generous support of dedicated funders and donors.
Once we have everything we need, we will be moving toward in-person appointments and making up some individual music lessons in person and/or virtually, if possible, that were lost between March and June. The Artists Collective’s flagship Rites of Passage Program will also begin within mandated Covid-19 guidelines.
The Artists Collective and our instructors feel that we can do this with small groups, as directed by Covid-19 safety guidelines and, of course, with our parents permission.
Our kids need an outlet, they need their culture, especially now, but most of all, we need to be safe!
We thank you, our donors, funders, parents, community, staff, instructors, health officials, and our Board of Directors.
See you soon!
